Chewing on a pencil whilst my imagination has a ‘tumbleweed moment’…..

Currently I am working on the design of a website whilst I get to grips with a code that is new to me and as I wrestle with this I have asked my imagination to supply me with the theme and plot for a short story (5,000 words) and the theme of my novel (70,000). That’s 5,000 and 70,000 words for the finished pieces not the number needed for the plot and themes, mind you with level of difficulty this is giving me the number of words is irrelevant.

I am finding this about as tricky as translating War and Peace into Swahili and then carving it into ice.

At 7am this morning I caught myself dusting the blinds in my study (really) and then re-arranging my shelf. I had to clean the shelf as it was covered in small balls of dust from said blinds……..I am now off to walk the ‘boys’ and am looking forward to being interrupted in a couple of hours by the delivery of my groceries!

This afternoon I am going to see the laddie strut his stuff on stage in his school play and then five adults and six children have a pantomime of their own as performance viewing, child care, food, bath and bedtime are co-ordinated between two houses ensuring that all bases are covered. This may prove easier than getting my imagination to produce what I need right now.

By the way I am looking forward to ‘Snow White’ and my window and shelf look lovely.
