Sussed it…..helped by a walk in the woods and a few random things happening all at once – it’s Monday!

Sussed it!

I am grateful to my ‘boys’ for getting me out in the woods this morning as that has helped and gratitude (one through gritted teeth) in no particular order to the following:

UPS for locating my parcel – Em really needs her new shoes,
The AA for informing me that the damage to my phone is not covered under my policy – yes, I know I smashed the glass myself but the repair quote is eye-watering,
Mr Tesco for delivering my groceries perfectly as I appear to be doing a lot of cooking and baking this week.

All the above happened at once and as I munched on a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer afterwards…bliss…and breathed out ‘clarity’ hit my mind.

It is a familiar refrain from those around me that I should write about relationships, marital breakdown, etc. etc as I have firsthand experience. I often hear myself saying to people that just because you have ‘in depth’ knowledge about something or are perceived as being good at something, it does not mean you have to do it. I am grateful that I have navigated the turbulent waters of relationship change and been thrown clear out the other side, but the desire to re-visit those memories is extinct.

So decision made, no re-visiting of past personal angst as it wasn’t fun the first time round and I will just trust that the ideas, thoughts and subsequent words will flow with the pieces I need to write.

As I look at the stones and shells on my shelf, that are my memories of a perfect day, let the magic begin.
