Sending love and standing back…..’hands off’ is about as easy as rocket science

There is a lot of ‘sending love and standing back’ going on at the moment if my ‘post bag’ is a good barometer.

Currently I am also entrenched in a situation which calls for the ‘hands off’ techinque to find the going gets really tough when you think you’re at the end only to round a bend and the finish line has shot off into the distance!

Yesterday, to preserve my sanity, I took myself into the kitchen to bake and cook, the theory being that I love doing it and I had friends round last night so it was also practical.

My head hit the pillow at the end of the day and I realised what is keeping me going; it’s balance but to maintain that balance it is pausing to see the magic moments.

As I rested my olive bread dough to rise on the windowsill I could see the ‘boys’ sleeping on the lawn in the sunshine with a backdrop of daffodils and forget-me-nots.

After much bouncing on a trampoline with two little girls we lay there and spotted shapes in the clouds….great excitement when a christmas tree turned into a rocket.

Last night absolute silence descended amidst much love, talking and laughter when a particularily wicked pudding was consumed.
