Old beliefs and perceptions….when change happens we change how we look and feel about things……

When change happens it shifts how we view things and sometimes it takes us a while to realise that our feelings and perceptions have changed.

In my world there are a number of support groups running under various guises and one constant thread is emerging. In the past women have always perceived themselves and others as not ‘coping’ if they admit that all is not fine in their world and I think we are starting to challenge that as we realise:

Tears are healing,
Discussing issues is helpful as you bounce solutions around to find a way forward,
It is good to ask for help,
Listening to how others have found solutions and handled similar challenges will allow hopeful threads to emerge,
Above all it is OK to say ‘I am not OK’.

The key is to admit what troubles you and then to seek solutions. Not all may be successful, but it will be a positive step forward and every strand of a solution helps you become ‘unstuck’ and gets the energy flowing again.

To show feelings and emotions is perceived as being weak…I think it shows great strength.
