Painting and musings…….

Something different is being created in the studio. I have an image in my head and a very large canvas (which I may have mentioned before) and it was frightening the life out of me as I was devoid of the belief that I could start it nevermind complete it.

Eventually I managed to draw the image (which is something I don’t usually do) having base coated the canvas at least five times as mentioned in earlier despatches and then I started adding drops of colour to give it life.

Each day I have gone in and done a section of it. I was unclear about the detail but as I have picked up my brush it has appeared on the canvas and is bringing the whole into focus.

It is unlike anything I have ever done before and I am learning something along the way. I am pushing myself way beyond my comfort zone and relaxing into it which is allowing the painting a life of it’s own. The energy coming from it is palpable and I am learning to trust and go with the flow.

True trusting and letting go… if I can just take that into my everyday round think what could happen! I am gently warning my nearest and dearest about potential developments …….
