Patterns, repeats, same old same old and calling a halt, taking time and space to change things…

The old saying ‘what goes around comes around’ may seem apt here but not in the way it was originally intended. I believe that we create our realities with the choices we make and the actions we take.

If you have a situation that keeps repeating, a challenge that keeps cropping up or if you find yourself saying ‘Oh no not this again’…..then pause and take stock. Question what you are doing to bring it to you, to make it happen again and again. If it keeps cropping up then I suspect the knowledge that it contains is not being taken on board and the situation will keep repeating until you finally ‘get’ it.

Sometimes actions speak louder than words, so if you can guess at the cause of the repeat…take yourself out of the environment or situation where it keeps happening and step back. We are sometimes so afraid of going ‘in’ and looking at ourselves. Give yourself the gift of time and space and stop taking a particular action for a while and see what floats up. Set yourself a new focus, change the vibration you are giving out and set yourself a good long chunk of time for the changes to take effect. Try something new, make small changes to your daily routine, distract yourself with something different, breath before you take action and then you will have time to take a different one.

We are our own map makers; we draw our own paths and courses and we can get some different ink and some new paper.
