What to do in life if you don’t know the answers…keep moving, keep trying, don’t freeze…the answers will float up….

Seth Godin, marketing expert from New York, blogged this weekend about what to do in business when you don’t know the answers. It struck a chord with me as my phone and Inbox have been full of queries from folk who are stuck at the moment and this ‘sticky patch’ is making them question past decisions, where they are now and what they do next.

When you get stuck looking forward helps, as looking back puts you on a ‘hiding to nothing’. The decisions you made and actions you took previously were done for the right reasons at the time and they are done. Moving forward carries you along even if you can’t see your way clear or you don’t know the answers. Trust that you are doing the best you can and that you are doing what you should be doing at this time and the answers will float up.

It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes, who says they are mistakes anyway? As you move forward you will find your way as staying stuck means nothing changes and what you probably need right now is change. Movement creates change. Change creates opportunities. Change makes room for the new.
