Best laid plans and all that good stuff….and gratitude x

Plans and talk of them have featured in a few conversations today and here I sit writing a very quick piece before I walk the ‘boys’ and scrub all vestiges of paint from me before I go out tonight.

I had a plan in my head when I woke up this morning but life had other ideas which have unfolded throughout the day.

So I have been a sounding board for Em’s UCAS application, had a lovely chat with my parents whose wedding anniversary it is today (love you both x), caught up with a good friend whom I love to pieces (MB x), got a good coat of cream (hand mixed) paint on a chair (Hayles I can hear you cheering all the way from MK), base coated some tin boxes, performed numerous domestic tasks (thanks Em for doing the ironing and cooking x) and had a good surprise at lunchtime which was magic and you know who you are – thank you x

Buoyed by all this good feeling I move (when cleaned up!) into the evening to a time with friends where love and support flows freely instead of booze!
