Our future path…..

‘They’ say tis not for us to know our future path and the steps to take
Yet it is strewn with wishes as we feel their feather like touch.

Days filled with practical concerns and much to do
Wise sayings abounding on letting go and catching favourable winds.

Thoughts and glimpses with hope of what may yet come to pass
Held in the heart, tucked away safe where you alone can see.

I believe we shape what is yet to be, in imagination watering the seeds to grow
For your hand is most assuredly on the tiller of your ship and where you go.

Jane, yes our hand IS on the tiller and we CAN determine where our ship goes. I love the way the photo and the lines of the poem emphasize that our wishes determine our path; they form the path. While we don’t know the details, we certainly can know the direction!

    Dear Loving Jane,
You have the hands of an angel and your craft brings such loving joy to the world. You will continue onward with your hand on the tiller. May soft gentle winds guide you.
    Your grateful friend,
    Jeannie xxxx

Earl Nightingale in ‘The Strangest Secret’ said “We become what we think about”. I am convinced that tornados, hurricanes, and the like are reflections of our own chaotic thought atmosphere …

Yes, folk fret about things that haven’t happened yet, imagine the energy that creates (and wastes)…I am still pondering flight here…. 😀

Wise words Jane. I’m reading this as I sit on a bench beside the River Ness. I’ve taken today off and decided to be kind to myself and start the day with a wander. Would you believe a seal has just passed stopping to wink its watery eyes at me. Here’s to days off and hanging on to our dreams! Have a good day.

Very true, that we know only little of what is to be. De we steer or are we just sailing with the currents and the wind?
Happy Valentine’s day 😉 darling Jane
