Summer senses….

Summer Senses

Good night Father Sun
the sky celebrating the day
warmed earth.

Last crops being gathered in
the smell of popcorn
floating on the air.

Grasses wafting
Evening breezes stirring
Rabbits emerging into the cool.

The spirits of three souls
Two happy hounds and a photographer
Pausing to capture the moment.

The image set as heads turn for home
Hearts holding the peace
Timeless.

I like to think a setting sun takes the day’s problems with it. And a rising sun brings fresh mercies. Beautiful photo

A rising or setting sun goes straight to the heart, and fills it with peace. May that joyous peace be with you, Jane.

Interesting, where the smell of popcorn came from… I do love the smell… but I can’t put it in that context.

Standing inside of forever, and knowing we are, is a uniquely human (hu-mamas – spirit man) experience, rare in nature, and a precious gift…
