Stay young…..keep your wheels in motion……

It was worth braving several heavy rain showers to see the Red Arrows fly at Duxford Air Show yesterday. It was a wonderful day out. Thanks Ray. Xx

My lovely buddy, Eric Alagan – Mountain Man, has written this post and sparked mine. Thanks Eric. Xx

It’s pouring down today and I am tucked up finishing a writing commission, wrapped in a lovingly knitted shawl made by my ‘twin’. Thanks Kim. Xx

Mountains…as I commented to Eric, they appear and I embrace them and do whatever I need to carry on forging ahead.

Facts….I currently live in a little one bedroomed cottage, in a lovely but rather remote village on top of a hill, without the funds to run a vehicle. My choice. However, this new venture of mine is asking for lots of warm, dry working space and extra funds to buy materials. In the run up to the weekend several orders came in, (with the promise of much more), and some are rather large pieces of furniture. All from one little birdbox. Thanks ‘Girls’. Xx

I also have orders for preserves, cakes, candles and bath products. I am undaunted by any of this, because it is what my heart asked for. I hit emotional ‘burn out’ on the phone lines and recognised it before I got ill. So, I threw my wish out there for another way of earning and here it is. I still have my clients I see face to face and my writing assignments. Thanks to the universe. Xx

On Saturday, a very patient man lovingly took me to the gift shop to collect the smaller items of furniture to re-vamp. He then carried on taking me to all the secondhand shops we could visit. ‘In the zone’ we picked some good finds and got the paint to enable me to make a start. Thanks Ray. Xx

We found a CD during our travels and it was the refrain for our weekend. The words of this one track are very apt. Thanks Gallagher and Lyle. Xx

The universe is abundantly answering your wishes, Jane, and you, in turn, create and recreate. You have so many talents, and having a patient man who takes you to shops looking for more possible projects is a wonderful gift in your life. (My patient guy, Jim, is the same way.)

Marylin, it is always lovely to hear from you and I appreciate that you take the time from your busy life to read and leave such thoughtful comments. The universe is indeed bringing forth many gifts, for which I am grateful. The patient man who shopped with me that day is just a friend….I live alone. It is lovely that you have your Jim. Big hug. x

You are living the dream, Jane! Making beautiful things is a joy in the process, and if the product allows you the time and funding to make more, well it doesn’t get better than that:) Enjoy.

Your life as you describe it may be simple but somehow I think through reading your blogs it’s what makes you happy, and it certainly makes it appealing to those of us who see it through your eyes and words. Thank you!

Ian, thank you for your encouraging words…love is threaded through all I do. If people only knew what was going on behind the scenes! The only way for me to cope is to focus on the good stuff. Love to you and yours over there in Oz. x

It sounds like you are very busy and very creative to have so many things going at the same time. Oh and good friends to help you, Jane. I hope you have a great week.

There is always more of us than we can imagine. Even when our sleep is restless, the universe is making a place where we may emerge on familiar shores. Who we are has absolutely nothing to do with where we are…….. Lovely, Jane. ~ Always, Bobbie xx

Dear Bobbie, we were reading each others posts at exactly the same moment. I love your comment….I say to loved ones that we are not defined by our circumstances. Love you Bobbie. Xxxx

Your talents abound, Jane. Not knowing you except through this blog, I imagine a person with an infectious spirit and one who sees life through the prism of a half-full, not half-empty glass.

There are going to be some lucky birds come next spring!

    • 16 Jane Thorne September 9, 2013 at 1:21 pm

Oh Al thank you, would you believe that the bird box is a decorative item for the home?? Tis true…apparently they are being bought for children’s bedrooms. 🙂 x

    Jane buddy,

I’ve seen the Red Arrows in action over the skies of Singapore – such cool nerves and airmanship. As an aircraft engineer, I tell you, I know how hard these men push their machines and themselves.

Jane, we’ve known one another since I started blogging – about 18 months ago. You’ve not only tackled mountains – you’ve confronted whole mountain ranges. And I’ve seen how you pick up, dust off and move on – such courage, such resoluteness – such faith – to say the least – commendable! Inspirational!

And throughout, you’ve set time aside for friends and always had encouraging and loving words.

    You’re a Gift to Blogsville.

May your mountains turn into molehills.

Much luv, hugz and good wishes from your friend here in Singapore,
P/s Glad to have inspired your post 🙂

It has been an inspiration to meet you Eric, and a joy to have forged a special link like this. Long may it continue as we carry on climbing! Big hugs my lovely buddy, Xx
