Knitting our lives..stitch by loving stitch….

Knitting group in the tea room yesterday had many moments of laughter as we all knitted and shared. It is the uniqueness of each that comes together to make a loving whole. The minute someone says something funny and we all look up to catch each other’s eyes and laugh out loud. Magic ❤

A neighbour has returned from a long stay abroad and she was having a catch-up natter with a friend last night. I couldn't hear the actual words through the wall, but the feeling that came from the flow of the conversational notes was one of sharing, support and care. Magic ❤

I popped into Liverpool yesterday to run errands and the bus was a capsule of loving care. It was busy and as fragile souls got on the bus, the more able were making eye contact and offering seats. This was happening while friendly words were being exchanged, which removed any trace of obligation, or entitlement. Two little toddlers had their buggies shuffled about to make room and it was obvious that they didn't know each other and one little one held his hand out to the other. Magic ❤

As I bought some knitting yarn for a special present, I chatted with the lady who helped me pack it up and pay. We were on the same hymn sheet with flowing love in creativity and how we always tidied our homes before we sat down to create. We locked eyes in synchronicity as I left and shared a heartfelt smile of understanding. Magic ❤

My Mum and I were messaging back and forth as I caught the bus back home. We agreed that life's richness comes from the simple things and these are all infused with love. Life's loving stitches. Magic ❤

Oh yes Jane, our richest joys come from the simplest of things we often take for granted. I just love the beautiful rainbow of colours in the yarn! 🙂 Hugs! xo ❤

“A capsule of loving care.” I liked that description. Each human should be one of those too.

I so enjoyed this, Jane! Please send some more magic over here during this horrible election year for I think we desperately need it :-/

It is the simple things. It occurred to me years ago when working for Porsche+Audi, and came back in a flash recently that the people who work for those companies in nearly all but the very executive capacities can never afford their products. There was only one guy I worked with who drove a Porsche, and for my entire tenure I drove a VW – I always like the Volkswagen people better! Yes, its the simple things, the sheering of the sheep, the making of the yarn, the knitting of the sweaters, and the knitting together of our lives here on earth that have the greatest value. As the years roll by, this is more and more apparent as the ultimate truth … what else can we take with us except what we have stored up in our hearts. What a grand design, even if parts of it a corrupt. If we learn the truth of living in the heart then the rest falls away as insignificant! Enjoy your weekend ❤

Ohh how profund your comment is Pete. Material things have never stirred my soul, yet making something from scrap or salvage moves me. Seeing beauty in unusual places is also soul stirring. I worked for Lloyds of London for six years and that taught me an awful lot, but not what they expected me to learn. Simple pleasures and flowing loving care touch us where things cannot. ❤ Hugs Xxx

Jane, this is a touching, wonderful and real post. Our lives are threads weaving out own stories; in a knitting group where lives and joys and sorrows are shared, everyone’s threads weave together to form lovely new patterns. This post evokes so many images. Thank you, dear Jane.

Sometimes our little connections with others can be so rewarding. I’m delighted to hear seats are still offered on buses for those who need them. Manners haven’t died out then, there still a chance for us all.
