Return and repeat….

circles

A few weeks have disappeared while I muddied my own waters and got lost in the shallows. I had ventured forth nurturing a connection and was giving it space and time to see what evolved. My words had changed and were embracing the new, but my emotions were firmly locked back in the past. So guess what happened? I got a repeat of the past.

All of life is energy and we are all energy. What is reflected back to us, is what we are putting out there energetically, no matter what words or actions we dress it up in. Some of us are facing tragic, difficult and at times overwhelming circumstances, yet we still have the power to choose our own thoughts. We also have the power to change the patterns that our thoughts are driving.

We feel our way through life with our emotions sparking from our thoughts, which then drive our words and actions. We get what we focus our attention on, so it is natural to want to nurture and foster thoughts that ease us into a contented space. We can choose our thoughts.

I watched the planes on the distant horizon coming in to land this morning. The sky was dark with snow clouds and every now and then, as they circled, the plane’s lights would shine through the murk.

I have had two significant sparks shine through in the last twenty four hours. One was from a loving friend sitting in my ‘happy bubble’ favourite chair and watching the view. She was listening to me natter away and with her insightful way of being she suddenly swung her gaze onto me and said ‘What you have just said is a great idea, how about doing that?’ and I felt the energy of it, smiled at her and it took root. ❤ The second spark came as I watched the planes, again from my favourite chair. I ‘twigged’ that I had got exactly what my emotions expected with the way recent events unfolded. It simply is what it is, because it matched my emotional energy vibration.

We choose what we focus on and life, being the natural force that it is, will flow it back to us. Return and repeat.

It makes you think doesn't it? What thoughts we can foster to nurture and grow contented plants in our life gardens. We choose our thoughts and that can change our patterns.

Stories, love, fear, acceptance, control and ‘letting go’

Em's latest painting

This painting is one of Emily’s latest and I love how her creative journey is expanding and developing. I delight in the messages and ‘Skype’ conversations that fly between us. We trust each other implicitly and bounce ideas and creations off each other at each stage, with much loving encouragement. Also, with helpful advice, laughter and cries of ‘Time for a hot chocolate….mini marshmallows with that?’ ‘You betcha…’. Her painting perfectly illustrates this blog post, which has been rumbling in the background for some time and now sees the light of day.

All our lives we have a ‘story’ running through us and our ‘story’ builds momentum as we live each day. Through the beliefs and words the ‘story’ tells us, we take our steps and make our choices. The ‘story’ is a mishmash of our childhood, our beliefs about ourselves, our experiences, how others see us and how we treat ourselves and others. It’s no wonder self nurture, healing and therapies are becoming so popular.

I work with souls who are struggling every day as they try to make sense and edit, or re-write, their ‘stories’. We are all doing this every single moment of every single day. We are bound to get weary and lost sometimes, as things get muddled and complicated.

In loving simplicity, my heart feels that we approach everything from two foundations; one out of love and the other from fear.

One of nature’s laws that we can change things by making our own choices, can be daunting to a lot of souls.

Life and people do not ‘do’ things to us.

We can change so much by editing our ‘story’ and the words we tell ourselves. With love we can look at a situation, or how someone is reacting, and choose, edit, tweak and change how we react to it. Then our thinking, feelings, words and actions flow from that reaction. We choose how we weave this into our ‘story’.

Pausing to reflect on the ‘why’ is self nurturing. Stepping forwards with love and kindness flows love to all concerned. Our personal responsibility is to our own ‘stories’.

Love to me is ever flowing. It is loving to ‘let go’ and accept how other souls flow for they too have their own ‘stories’.

It can be frightening to ‘let go’ and see where life’s flow takes us. There are so many things that are done because ‘control’ is a motivating force and that springs from fear.

‘Letting go’ is loving.

Flowing from love, trusting, moving forwards, working, being kind, taking responsibility for my ‘story’ and nurturing my open heart have all brought me to North Wales in the middle of this Summer. A totally new area for me with no previous life links, or memories at all. I had no idea why at the time, it just felt instictively good for my ‘story’ to settle here.

Days have unfolded in a beautiful setting as I nest happily in my little home. New friendships, laughter, a kind landlord, magic moments, work, family and friends visiting and a growing love for this land have all woven into my ‘story’ with a loving richness.

Now I have a beautiful soul who holds my face in his hands and says ‘I love you Jane’. As I am learning his ‘story’, he is learning mine.

Loving acceptance.

My heart is full of gratitude for the new threads weaving into my ‘story’, as I now know the ‘why’ for coming here.

Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see – Mark Twain

Someone enquired today how I had achieved the almost Zen like float I have going on. No, I have not taken to drink, mind altering substances or chocolate. Not meditating for hours on end, performing a ritual at sunrise or ‘doing’ anything in particular either.

I have consciously lifted all pressure off my mind, regardless of what is going on around me. I am ‘in’ this moment. So right now I am writing, with music playing softly, and I am smiling. I am holding onto kind thoughts, saying kind things and pouring forth kindness.

Simple.

Thoughts and lovely things coming through words….

A.A. Milne, through Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh, knew how to light heartedly play life’s tune…

I look out of my window and see bright red roses blooming at the edge of the woods opposite. The same woods that Saint and I get to potter through later today.

The light glints off the beautiful blue glass angel my Mum and Dad brought back from The Isle of Arran.

A smell of freshly cut grass wafts through.

I have discovered a perfect bridge to play poohsticks with my soul buddy.

As I start work may the feeling of all these lovely gifts come through my words today.

Spoken words are an energy and goodness there are an awful lot of ‘down’ energies rolling around right now.

Catch the tone and words that are being used in conversations where people are passing the time of day at the moment; doom and gloom are rife and these words are being delivered with much shrugging of shoulders and expressions of ‘Well, what can we do about it?’

I was on the receiving end of such a delivery yesterday and I chose to keep my counsel.

Debate by all means but it’s the ‘how’ you debate and the words you use.

One thing that we can control is how we think about things and the words we use in our heads and when we speak.

It is like a sea; the tone and words you send out there are the ones that will come back to you when the tide turns.
